September 20—The House lawmakers passed a budget bill 230-189 today. Two Democrats approved of the bill while only one republican was against it.

“A government shutdown is a political game in which everyone loses,” Rep. Harold Rogers of Kentucky said today after the vote. He chairs the House Appropriations Committee.” The Republican Party has no interest in having a Government shutdown that hurts everyone. “

House Minority Leader, California democrat Nancy Pelosi said,” the bill the house passed is a “terrible proposition” for American families.”

Republicans only have 46 members in the Senate, while Democrats control the Senate with 54 members. The Democrats are likely to strip the part of that bill that defunds Obamacare and send it back to the house for a vote.  But some Democrats don’t like the bill because it keeps in the place the 986 billion dollar sequester, the across the board spending cuts.

The Republicans in the House have voted several times to delay, or entirely repeal Obamacare because they believe it will be a job killer and destroy the economy even more.
