This week I talked with Kevin Scholla, the creator of SarahNET Radio and the host of The Palin Update. We talked about the show, and also he gives some advice to new voters coming up. Here's the interview:

How long have you been doing SarahNET Radio?

We've been going strong since 2011. During that time we've had over one hundred different guests. Each week we deliver with all the Palin news, a new guest, and the features our listeners count on.

What made you want to start doing the shows?

There was plenty of speculation that Governor Palin would possibly seek the GOP nomination for president in 2012. I wanted voters to have an outlet to get the real news on Governor Palin and her campaign. When she decided not to run, we were already well into the show. I was asked if we would keep doing it even though there would be no run for The White House. I immediately answered 'ABSOLUTELY'! Just because Palin wasn't running didn't mean her values and what she stands for were going away. Like the Governor says...you don't need a title to make a difference. She is proving that every day. I also do the show for my daughter. I want strong role models like Sarah Palin to be in the spotlight so children have the opportunity to learn from a true patriot.

What is your favorite thing about it?

I always enjoy when I get feedback from a listener that enjoyed the show  or when someone tells me a particular program really made a difference in their life. I also enjoy hearing each and every guest's opinions on Sarah Palin. Our diverse guests show that people from all walks of life admire and respect Sarah Palin.

Who is your favorite person to interview so far?

We have been blessed to have super guests really every week. It would be hard to narrow it down to one. Governor Palin's dad Chuck Heath Sr. certainly comes to mind though. He always has a great story to tell and a wonderful way of telling it. Bristol and Todd Palin were terrific. Palin's brother Chuck Jr. and cousin JD Morgan also stand out. Sarah Steelman and Susan Stimpson were such a joy to have on that we asked them to be regulars. Fortunately for the show, they both accepted. Now during each episode of The Palin Update with Kevin Scholla, you can hear Steel Resolve with Sarah Steelman and Commonwealth Commonsense with Susan Stimpson.

What advice can you give to teenage conservatives on how they can be involved in politics?

Volunteer. Get out there and work on a campaign. When you do, make sure you really kick it old school by knocking on doors and shaking hands. Grassroots is the way for Tea Party candidates to win. We may not have the media or the establishment on our side but we can out work them with honesty, integrity, and sweat equity. At the same time use social media as much as possible. Spread the word online and recruit more young conservatives.

Do you think Gov. Palin will run for Senate in 2014?

One of the many great things about Governor Palin is she is her own person. She will make up her own mind on important decisions like this and all along drive her detractors batty. I don't know what she will do but I do know Mark Begich is terrified of Palin even being mentioned as a possible opponent. If I had to guess I'd say no but then again I thought the White Sox would  contend this year.

Do you think she’ll run for president in 2016? If not, who would you like to see run and why?

I would love to see her run. She would have my passionate support and the support of so many great Americans. I haven't given much thought about 2016 candidates right now because we do have very important mid-term elections before then. I can tell you who I don't want. Another McCain/Romney type. If the nominee is Christie or Bush or Rubio, you may as well raise the white flag now. With Palin-backed folks like Ted Cruz and Rand Paul out there, there are options. Republicans would be fools to select another establishment type. Sarah Palin is clearly the best choice. IF she wants to do it.

What do you think about President Obama calling the scandals “phony”?

Barack Obama will say anything to avoid the real issues. He talks about gay basketball players, George Zimmerman, and a make believe war on women to hide from Benghazi, NSA, and a poor economy. Anything to avoid the things a president should actually be tackling.

If you had a chance to change one thing in America, what would it be?

We live in an exceptional place. The greatest country in the world...ever. We are still the country people want to be despite the best efforts of politicians in Washington who are trying to tear our Constitution up and make up their own rules. I wouldn't change much about America from a fundamental standpoint. The attitude of some who live here could use an extreme make over however. I wouldn't mind seeing those who do not respect our flag or our military leave our great nation. That may be a nice change.

What is your advice to the newest voters in 2016?

Don't vote for the candidate the media tells you to vote for. Don't vote for the candidate you are pressured to vote for. Don't vote for who has the "best shot". Vote from the heart and use your head. Vote for the candidate that follows our Constitution and is a polar opposite of the mess we currently have on our hands in DC.
